There was a time when I used to write. I used to write poetry, songs, articles (borzoi international) and I used to love writing. There was a time when Richard (my husband) used to think that our future lay in my writing. Then life happened. Borzoi International folded, my instructor at the Childrens Insititue of Literature told me that there was no future in stories about talking animals (????) and then came children....

Now I'm on the other side of young children. My boys are becoming more independant, which allows me more freedom. I can start indulging in some of the things that have been put on the back burner while I raised two young active boys. It has been an enjoyable adventure and one that continues to unfold each day, week, month, year. But now I can start to enjoy some of the things that I enjoyed prior to having children. Not that having children has been a negative experience! Quite the opposite, but it does cause one to put certain things on the back burner until you can afford the time to enjoy them once more. You may still endure the odd interruption here and there but on the whole it allows you the chance to start delving into your personal interests once again.

And so I hope to record some of my feelings, writings and thoughts here on this blog. Hopefully I can write something of benefit, worth reading.....
